About

Driftwood is a mobile, wood-fired sauna, offering a calm, grounding escape from daily life, where people can gather in community and take time to forge new connections.

The idea was born on the south shore of Lake Superior and shaped by the rustic sauna traditions of Minnesota’s North woods. Sauna is a Finnish word pronounced “sow-na”, but however you say it, and whatever your experience level, you’re welcome here!

With it’s home base among the pines at Tamarack Nature Center, you are sure to leave this place feeling just a bit lighter. Step inside and settle into the heat.

Driftwood Sauna was built by Forge Saunas in the St. Croix River valley and features an efficient and clean-burning Kuuma wood stove, manufactured in Tower, Minnesota.
